Statement on a reported COVID-19 positive case at Mujin

On December 2, it was confirmed that one of the employees at Mujin, Inc. in Koto-ku, Tokyo tested positive for COVID-19. Based on our investigation, we understand that the employee did not interact with any customers in person during the relevant period.

 Date tested positive: December 2, 2020 
 Last date at work: November 26, 2020  

We have swiftly communicated this fact to all the relevant health authorities. Per their instructions, we are currently ordering those who have had close contact to work remotely from home. We have organized the PCR test for these employees to be taken within two days at their home. Once the results of the test come out, we will provide further updates

So far, none of the employees identified as the “close contacts” have tested positive for COVID-19. We are waiting for a few more results. Based on the guideline by health authorities, even though they tested negative, they will remain working from home for a certain period as instructed.

On December 6, it was confirmed that another employee tested positive for COVID-19. The employee is not one of the close contacts mentioned above. We have contacted the business partners this employee had interacted with.

 Last date at work: December 4, 2020

Per the relevant health authorities’ instructions, we are currently ordering those who have had close contact to work remotely from home. They will take the PCR test following instructions by the health authority. Once the results of the test come out, we will provide further updates.

We have confirmed that all the employees identified as the “close contacts” have tested negative for COVID-19. Based on the guideline by health authorities, they will remain working from home for a certain period as instructed.
